BONGAIGAON: Bongaigaon Municipality launched four numbers of new projects under 15th Finance Commission on Friday. Food & Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs Minister to the Govt.of Assam Sri Phani Bhusan Choudhury and Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon Dr. M. S. Lakshmi Priya IAS, laid the foundation stone of four numbers of projects namely construction of North Bongaigaon Daily Market, construction of Commercial Complex at Bongaigaon Municipal Office, Modern Fish market at Chilaray Daily Market and construction of Chilaray weekly market.
Minister Choudhury urged all people to extend all sorts of cooperation during the implementation of the projects. Speaking on the event, Deputy Commissioner Bongaigaon revealed that all the projects are time bound and will be completed within the stipulated time and asked the executive officer of Bongaigaon MB to closely monitor the works of the projects.
The Executive Officer of Bongaigaon Municipality briefed that the projects are likely to be completed within two months period. These projects are expected to be a great relief considering the fact of growing population of Bongaigaon town.Further, it is anticipated that the projects will boost the infrastructural advancement of the town....
