BONGAIGAON : Pension Paper Orders under scheme 'KRITAGYATA'

BONGAIGAON: Putting an end to the conventional scenario of the retired employees who had to run from pillar to post to get done their pension related papers, scheme KRITAGYATA formally launched in Bongaigaon today in a program held at Birjhora Public Library Auditorium at 11 A.M. organised by Bongaigaon District Administration. 'KRITAGYATA' is a portal developed by National Informatics Centre for the Assam Govt.in line with the Central Govt.'s concept of 'Bhabishya' portal for bringing expediency in the disposal of pensions to the retired government employees on the day of their retirement.

With the help of the portal, the retired employees will not only able to submit pension-related papers online but also they will be able to check the status of his her pension.The underlying motto of this initiative is to express gratitude to the retired employees for their hard work, sacrifices and such long term quality service to the society which catered to the foundation of the state in one way or the other. In Assam, Kamrup metro was the first district to start Kritagyata in the very first phase as a pilot project and Bongaigaon is the first district of Assam in the second phase to launch Kritagyata.

Today ceremonial distribution of Pension Paper Orders held for 24 no.s out of the total 29 no.s of teachers who have retired from their service during the month of November and December 2020. The PPOs will be handed over very soon to the rest of the five no.s of retired teachers too after completion of the little remaining paper works which could not be completed due to some formal criteria.

The ceremonial distribution of PPOs to the teachers held in the presence of Hon'ble Minister of Food & Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs, Pension and Public Grievances etc.to the Govt.of Assam Sri Phani Bhushan Choudhury, Deputy Commissioner Bongaigaon Dr. M.S.Lakahmi Priya, Director of Pension and Public Grievances Sri Promod Bora, Technical Director Of NIC, Assam Sri Manabendra Goswami and other concerning officers various departments of the district. Speaking on the event Minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury highly appreciated DC Bongaigaon and her team for their excellent work and the successful launch of the scheme in the district.

Further he added that 'Krityagata' training was organised in total 9 no.s of districts in the state namely Kamrup(R), Kamrup(M), Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Dima Hasao, Silchar, Karimganj, Hailakandi and Tinisukia but except Kamrup (M), among the above it is only Bongaigaon district in the second phase which successfully brought KRITAGYATA into real practice and made possible distribution of PPOs to 24 no.s of teaching and non teaching staffs of different schools under Bongaigaon district. DC Bongaigaon in her speech mentioned that the pension paper works of another 44 no.s of teachers of the district retiring on this coming 31st of January, 2021 is under process and her team is working hard to hand over the PPOs to these 44 no.s of teachers on the very day of their retirement from service. She again added that though initially only the employees under education department have been covered by Kritagyata, but gradually all employees from various departments of the district will also be covered as well. Considering the problems the retiring teachers might face in online submission of pension related papers, DC revealed that on every Wednesday CRCs will be visiting all schools to provide assistance in their works.Besides DIO, NIC is there to provide necessary guidance in this regard, she further added.

The welcome address of today's programme was given by Director of Pension and Public Grievances, Assam while Director, NIC Assam remained present as guest speaker and the programme was attended by the recepient of PPOs, all DDOs , officers and staff of Education department and other concerned officials and staff of the district.
