Bongaigaon,July 6: Today District Development Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee in short the DISHA meeting was held in Bongaigaon in conference hall of Deputy Commissioner which was chaired by Naba Sarania, MP Kokrajhar HPC. The meeting was also attended by Abdul Khaleque, MP Barpeta HPC,Pradip Sarkar, MLA Abhayapuri South LAC( SC), Abdul Batin Khandakar,MLA of Abhayapuri North LAC and Ajoy Kumar Roy,MLA of Bijni LAC.
Dr. M S Lakshmi Priya IAS ,Deputy Commissioner informs about the developmental schemes implemented in Bongaigaon district under various department like Public Health Engineering,Town and Country planning,Health,District Industry and Commerce Centre,Panchayat and Rural Development, Social Welfare, Education,Food,Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Agriculture,Irrigation, Public Works Department, Roads and Building, Water Resource, Fishery, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited etc. Among the flagship schemes Jal Jivan Mission,National Health Mission,National Urban Livlihood Mission,Pradhan Mantri Matsa Sampada Yojana,Rastriya Krishi Vikash Yojana,Pradhan Mantri Kishan Yojana,Pradhan Mantri Model Village Yojana,Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme,Rural Infrastructure Development Schemes implemented in Bongaigaon.
Telecom and Railway department officials also present and they also informs about their schemes like manufacturing workshop of Railway Delux Coach in New Bongaigaon etc.
The MP and chairman of todays meeting Mr.Sarania appreciated Bongaigaon district for handling COVID effectively.
The MP, Barpeta HPC Mr. Khaleque announces to provide 5lacs of ruppees to Water Resource Department for bridgework in Kacharipety GP.And he also proposes to take resolution in the meeting for a Pradhan Mantri Jana Vikash Yojana scheme in Kirtanpara.He also asks the Executive officer to increase the number of Community Toilet in Bongaigaon Municipality area.Mr. Khaleque inquires of Railway officials of present status of Manufacturing workshop of Railway Delux Coach of which Central Minister of Railway of Govt. of India Mr. Rajen Gohain had laid foundation stone in New Bongaigaon.
The Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lakshmi Priya, IAS asks the Heads of Departments to intimate about preliminary action taken in connection with the schemes and related works discussed today immediately.
Bhaskar Das, the District Development Commissioner, Nadira Jesmin ,the Chief Executive Officer Zilla Parishad, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Heads of Departments, Gaon Panchayat Presidents etc. were also present in todays DISHA meeting.
